Imagine that one day, after an election in your country, the military leadership of your country decides to seize power. They say that the election was fraudulent, even though there is no evidence of this. They arrest the incumbent, fairly elected leader and 8 other politicians, and many more civilians. When ordinary civilians organise peaceful protests against this action, they are arrested, tortured and killed by soldiers.

What do you do? You can either go along with what the military leaders want, which you know will lead to a long period of hardship for your country, with freedoms removed from citizens... or you can try to fight by joining the Civil Disobedience Movement, which means you won't work until the military have released the prisoners and given control of the country back to the elected leader. It is dangerous to do this, you have to hide from soldiers, maybe even move somewhere deep in the forest, surviving on little food, with no money. But it's one of the only effective actions you can take - one of the only ways to stop the military leaders from doing what they are doing.

In Myanmar this is what is happening. People just like you and me, musicians, teachers, lawyers, doctors, cleaners, shopkeepers, bus drivers... many are choosing to fight by not going to work. They need money to survive. This is where the funds will go when you buy Trax4Myanmar.
